William Morris Fabric Acanthus Forest Hemp in heavy cotton, width 138 cm. 'Acanthus' is one of William Morris most iconic designs that was designed in 1875. 'Acanthus' upholstery fabrics is great to use for exclusive pillows and drapes, but the fabric is so sturdy that it is extremely suitable also for upholstery. Morris & Co fabric Acanthus is made of 90% cotton and 10% nylon for extra durability. Washing: Dry Cleaning. Morris & Co fabrics are sold by the meter.

William Morris began his design career in London in the 1860s. From the start William Morris worked mostly with textiles and he was very fascinated by the medieval textile tapestries. So textiles fabrics and pillows has always been close to William Morris heart! In Morris & Co's design studio in Loughborough goodies from the archives are now discovered and redesigned to get a touch of the 2000s. Several of the new Morris wallpapers were actually first made as fabrics!
